My first blog was more or less a venting post. That became boring after a year or so (or was it three?) so I migrated over to myspace’s blog. It has been a good blog, but with all the other changes going on in my life right now, I figured the time was right to find a new blog home.
So here I am.
This blog will be a bit different than the previous two. For one thing I’ve decided to start using capital letters, despite how ugly they appear to me. The only reason I’m doing this is because this blog is searchable, and if a prospect client reads this I don’t want something like the lack of capital letters preventing a business inquiry.
As for what’s going on…
Business is going well. Had two appointments last week with prospects, and a few other conversations with business owners – things are shaping up nicely. Time is flying by, too, which I don’t mind since it’s my least favorite month of the year. I am trying my best to stay humble – keep proper perspective on what’s happening and Whom is leading the way.
Last night we had one of the best home church gatherings yet. Andre led on a topic she had been wanting to talk about for a while – controlling one’s tongue, and how the tongue can bless and curse life. The conversation was quite animated, and we let Proverbs and James guide us to truth. Seeing Andrea lead made me realize just how fortunate I am. As I told a friend at lunch last week, “Sometimes I think I’m just bitching over burned crutons in my salad.”
Garrett is fantastic, though he’s rather needy right now. He needs to be attached at all times, or we get this blood-shrilled cry that usually is accompanied by tears. Then if there’s gas in the equation look out. It’s one of the odd things about working from home: When he cries like that for just wanting to be held, it’s impossible for me to just sit here and work. Then again, I don’t want to spoil the little guy.
So much else happening, but I need to get moving. Meeting coming up soon and work to do.
